Q + A

  • Internal medicine, autoimmune conditions, postpartum healing, and identifying longstanding health issues that have not yet been successfully treated by conventional care. We seek to provide you with the tools to achieve optimal health and vitality.

  • YOUR INITIAL HEALTH: Progress will vary depending on how aligned or imbalanced a patient is when they first start treatment based on the assessments from Eastern Medicine, conventional labs, and diagnostic tests.

ACCOUNTABILITY: Patient commitment to consistent follow-up visits during the initial first few months, recommendations of the practitioner, as well as the application of their prescribed protocol, will all impact the timeline of results.

Generally, in about 3 MONTHS OR LESS of consistent treatment, a patient should feel a shift in symptoms and a positive contribution to their overall well-being.

  • The initial appointment is a comprehensive conversation either in person or online between practitioner and patient reviewing primary complaints, current medications and supplements, labs, and other diagnostic reports shared. The practitioner utilizes this information and assesses patient through an Integrative Eastern Perspective including: Traditional Chinese Medicine, Functional Medicine, and Nutrition. Acupuncture may or may not be warranted based on individual needs. A comprehensive report and plan of care is created and shared with the patient for follow-up care.

  • For ALL patients: please fill out all forms located in the Patient Portal.

For an IN PERSON initial appointment with acupuncture, please make sure you have something to eat at least an hour prior to your appointment, wear loose clothing if possible, and bring all current medications and supplements. Make sure you HYDRATE well before AND after your acupuncture treatment.

For ONLINE patients, please make sure you are logged into the Patient Portal 5 minutes prior to ensure we can address any possible technical issues.

    Thank you!

  • If your initial goal is accomplished and you don't have further symptoms you want to address, maintenance sessions can range based on the recommendation of the practitioner (age, chronicity, lifestyle) from every month, every other month, or every season.

Given the speed of our modern world, the decrease in quality of our natural resources, and a lack of understanding of how Eastern medicine can benefit solely or in compliment with conventional medicine, maintenance treatments are recommended throughout all of life's stages.

IMPORTANT: As a patient's initial symptoms get better, a new layer of symptoms may present themselves as the body is now stronger to handle issues it had once put on the back shelf.

YOUR DECISION: How long a patient desires to focus and handle new symptoms AFTER the initial ones are addressed will depend upon their motivation to reach higher levels of optimal health and vitality.
